ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATIONBefore choosing a location for your CORKETT FLAG look around carefully for any objects close enough to come in contact with the flag or pennants. Be especially careful not to come into contact with power lines. Using a hammer drive 4' length of rebar into the ground until firm. The depth required will vary depending on soil. If you are having difficulty driving in the rebar, use a screw driver or similar object to create a pilot hole before driving in the rebar. DO NOT remove the rubber handle from the top end of the pole (the top end is smaller in diameter). Loosen the "lock" by twisting the poles in separate directions and pull out the smaller pole until the top section slides out to the desired length. Twist the poles again (in opposite direction as before) to tighten the lock. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Slip your CORKETT FLAG over the end of the pole (with the handle on it) and secure the lanyard/cord to the eye located at the opposite end of the pole (the bottom). If using pennants, attach the lanyard/cord connected to the pennant to the eye. Secure tightly but not too tight to bend the poles. Lift your fully assembled CORKETT FLAG and place it over the rebar until the bottom of the pole is resting on the ground. When taking your CORKETT FLAG down simply reverse the above directions. CARING FOR YOUR CORKETT FLAG Do not allow the flags and banners to become wet from rain, fog or mist. Never machine wash. Wipe spots with a mild detergent and water. Hang to dry. Never store your CORKETT FLAG wet. Always air dry flat before putting away. Store flat to avoid wrinkles. In case of a small puncture or tear, use a small amount of waterproof clear drying glue available in most fabric and craft stores. |
